Abaci Accounting, LLC is a woman owned business founded in 2018 to provide bookkeeping and accounting services for small businesses. We are based in the Space Coast of Florida and work with businesses across the United States providing a variety of accounting services. Our customers range from wholesale, retail, services, technology and semiconductor companies. Our specialty is working with customers with Government grants and contracts that require DCAA compliant accounting systems. We look forward to collaborating with you!

Meet the Team

Karen Quiroz

FOUNDER

Karen Quiroz graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Finance from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). With a passion for entrepreneurs and small businesses—whom she sees as the heartbeat of America—Karen is committed to helping them succeed through personalized, detail-oriented financial services.

Her experience at FedEx provided her with a solid foundation in financial analysis, where she led major company strategic pricing initiatives and supported the development and implementation of systems and processes for pricing management. This background honed her analytical skills and attention to detail, which she now brings to her own clients.

In 2018, Karen founded her bookkeeping and accounting firm to address the growing need for consistent, reliable financial services tailored for small businesses. With a focus on government accounting compliance, she has successfully guided clients working with a range of agencies including NSF, NIH, NIFA/USDA, DOE, Air Force and Space Force. She understands that each agency can have its own reporting requirements with the overarching prerequisite to have an FAR compliant accounting system, and she excels at navigating these complexities to ensure her clients remain compliant and financially organized.

Anton Quiroz

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Anton has nearly a decade of experience in entrepreneurship, managing P&Ls, and securing and overseeing multi-million-dollar government contracts and grants. In 2017, he co-founded Apogee Semiconductor, a fabless semiconductor company addressing a critical need for high-reliability, radiation-hardened electronics for small satellites. Under his leadership, Apogee secured millions in funding from agencies like NASA, NSF, DOE, and DoD, and successfully completed a qualified financing round. Anton also implemented comprehensive financial, IT, and export compliance measures, ensuring the company’s ability to transact with the U.S. government.

Previously, Anton held various roles in sales, business development, strategic marketing, and product line management at Texas Instruments and Cobham Semiconductor Solutions (now Frontgrade).

Anton graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Florida.

Today, he leverages his expertise to assist small businesses in securing government contracts and grants, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment for success.
